PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe joins the EULYNX Consortium
At the 16th International Railway Fair TRAKO in Gdańsk, PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. (PKP PLK) formally joined the EULYNX Consortium.
EULYNX is a European initiative developing open, modular standards for railway signalling and traffic management. The PKP PLK membership marks an important step towards further harmonisation of railway control systems in line with European standards. These standards lower lifecycle costs, reduce vendor lock-in, and enable flexible migration paths while ensuring interoperability and safety. With PLK’s participation, the consortium expands its reach and influence, strengthening the case for standardisation as the foundation for a future digital railway.
Piotr Wyborski, CEO of PKP PLK, said:
“Joining EULYNX is an important step towards modernizing Poland’s railway infrastructure. Thanks to a common European standard, we will achieve greater system interoperability, improve safety and service quality, and enhance the competitiveness of rail transport in Poland.”
Mirko Blazic, Technical Lead of EULYNX, added:
“We are delighted to welcome PKP PLK, one of Europe’s largest infrastructure managers, into the EULYNX Consortium. Their membership strengthens our collective market influence and underlines that standardisation is the cornerstone of safe, efficient, and digitalised rail systems.”
With PKP PLK on board, EULYNX further consolidates its role as the European platform driving digital transformation in rail — benefiting all members of the consortium.
