GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Onvia LockTM A Object Controllers relies on the Enhanced SmartIO (e-SmIO) platform. It is a SIL4 wayside object controller to interface field equipment with interlocking kernel. It is a highly configurable rack-based solution.
The e-SMIO connects train operations to traffic management, enabling decentralized railway structures. It offers numerous benefits, including lower setup and maintenance costs, flexible system upgrades and robust safety and security standards. With a diverse range of connectivity options, e-SMIO enhances operational efficiency for railway operators.
KEY FEATURES
The Onvia LockTM A Object Controller is able to handle different operational contexts:
- Passive I/O interface with signalling logic entirely in central interlocking cubicle.
- Hybrid I/O interface with signalling functions in central interlocking cubicle and simplified local logic to manage graceful degradation of output (e.g. red retaining).
- Distributed architecture with signalling functions entirely in e-SmIO logic, central computer kept for system functions.
- Small interlocking architecture without any central computer, supporting direct connection to RBC/ATC/CBTC.
- e-SmIO realizes cybersecurity requirement which are needed for railway market.
- e-SmIO is remotely configurable.
It supports full integration with EULYNX standard interfaces as per EULYNX Baseline 4 specifications:
- SCI-P (Standard Communication Interface with Point machines)
- SCI-IO (Standard Communication Interface with I/O devices)
- SCI-LS (Standard Communication Interface with Light signals)
