E-AC-214 PLUS
Since 1995, ELECTRANS has been a trusted provider of axle counter systems, delivering robust and reliable solutions for Railway, Metro, Tram, and LRT infrastructures. The E-AC-214 Plus is the latest evolution of axle counters, designed with a 2oo2 microprocessor-based safety architecture, ensuring secure and fault-tolerant train detection in even the most demanding environments.
This system provides precise section occupancy information, train speed, and directional detection, making it ideal for both conventional and high-speed rail applications. With SIL-4 certification and compliance with CENELEC standards, the E-AC-214 Plus guarantees the highest level of safety and reliability.
Its rugged design includes vandal-resistant detector heads rated up to IP68, and supports operation in extreme temperatures ranging from -40ºC to 85ºC. The system is capable of detecting trains traveling at speeds up to 350 km/h, ensuring performance across a wide range of operational scenarios.
Additionally, the E-AC-214 Plus provides a secure EULYNX SCI_TDS interface with third-party electronic interlocking systems via the COM23 safety communication board, installed in the CE-214 Central Evaluator.
System Architecture
- Trackside Equipment
- ERD-214 Detector Head: Mounted on the rail, detects wheel flanges of all rolling stock types, providing directional and speed data, as well as wheel parameters.
 - TU-214 Trackside Unit: Processes data from the detector head and communicates digitally with the central evaluator.
 
 - Cabin Equipment
- CE-214 Central Evaluator: Rack-mounted electronic unit that centralizes and processes data from trackside equipment, interlocking systems, and other evaluators. Provides real-time information on section occupancy, train speed, and directional detection. Includes the COM23 card for secure SCI_TDS communication. Can be installed in outdoor cabinets.
