Baseline Set 4 Release 4 published

EULYNX and the EU-Rail System Pillar announce the publication of EULYNX Baseline Set 4 Release 4, marking another significant step forward in the digitalisation and harmonisation of European railway signalling.

This release is a documentation update within EULYNX Baseline Set 4, building on previous versions and finalising the work on this baseline. With this release, the specification set has reached a stable maturity level and is now closed to functional changes or new features. As with earlier releases, these specifications were developed in close collaboration with the European CCS sector under the EU-Rail System Pillar.

All specifications relating to trackside assets and transversal functions apply to both the current EULYNX architecture and the future target architecture as defined by the EU-Rail System Pillar. These have been published as a single set of 25 specification documents by EU-Rail System Pillar and EULYNX. In addition, EULYNX has published 24 further specifications and supporting documents for the current EULYNX architecture. This release is also fully aligned with and refers to the Cybersecurity Specification V1.0 as published by the EU-Rail System Pillar.

By providing a stable foundation, this publication supports ongoing investment and development in the EULYNX architecture, enabling smooth migration and ensuring compatibility with the future target architecture of the Single European Railway Area (SERA).

EULYNX’s open and standardised interfaces are already helping to reduce life-cycle costs, promote supplier competition, and accelerate the adoption of digital technologies. The efficient, collaborative development process demonstrates the System Pillar’s role as a system integrator and architect for the future European railway.

All deliverables are available in PDF format. Additional supporting artefacts include:

• Requirements Interchange Format (ReqIF) for all requirements specifications
• Model exports for all model-based deliverables
• Simulators for EULYNX field element subsystem specifications to support verification and validation
