EULYNX starts a collaboration with Relesoft for object controller testing

The EULYNX Consortium has entered into a multi-year contract with Relesoft to acquire a compliance testing platform and related services.

Since 2014, the EULYNX Consortium has been leading the harmonisation work for standardised modular railway signalling systems. The effort has now culminated in a milestone where objective and neutral testing of interoperable and exchangeable systems is required by the sector.

Relesoft is a railway software company specialising in safety-related system development and integration of the EULYNX protocol in signalling solutions. Their protocol management and testing system is a state-of-the-art, turnkey solution to ensure EULYNX compliance testing in a transparent way for all system providers and infrastructure managers.

“The strategic objectives of our collaboration with Relesoft aim to offer compliance testing as a service to the sector, with the tools that build the confidence both during the development and procurement phases for EULYNX-compatible solutions. It is vital that in addition to specification development and knowledge dissemination, we also offer supporting tools and services to advance the ecosystem.” said Mirko Blazic, Technical Lead at the EULYNX Consortium Office.

The new testing platform is provided under the collaboration between Relesoft and EULYNX, and will be operated by Relesoft as a service. The testing platform will also serve as the official EULYNX test case database.

The testing services are expected to be operational starting with point object controllers
(SCI-P) in October and will continue to evolve, covering all EULYNX field element subsystems by the end of Q1 2025.
