HŽ infrastructure joins EULYNX as 15th consortium member
The infrastructure manager of the Republic of Croatia, HŽ-Infrastruktura, has become the 15h member of the EULYNX consortium in 2023. The EULYNX consortium is a consortium of railway infrastructure managers with the goal to standardise the signalling system architecture and interfaces.
Joining the goals of the EULYNX members, the Republic of Croatia aims to standardise, via EULYNX, the interfaces for the future modernisation and migration of the modern centralised control-command and signalling and interlocking subsystems. The current priority is the interconnection of two adjacent electronic interlockings via the EULYNX (SCI-ILS) protocol, which will be further applied in all future tenders. In addition to the SCI-ILS protocol, the next step will be the formation of a Remote Traffic Management Center with the use of the EULYNX SCI-CC protocol, and the connection of level crossings via the SCI-LC/LX protocol and the train detection system via the SCI-TDS protocol. Preparatory activities for integration of EULYNX have been started. A two day EULYNX workshop was organised in Zagreb, explaining the principles of interface standardisation, with focus on the prioritised interface SCI-ILS. Another preparatory activity for the future phase was the presentation of the Frauscher company in Lieboch (Graz), where the first SCI-TDS protocol was successfully implemented.
