Step 1: EULYNX DP publishes UML model.
The UML model is a Platform Independent Model (PIM). It is richly documented and machine readable.
Step 2: EULYNX transforms the UML model into an XSD, a Platform Specific Model (PSM).
The XSD inherits text documentation, relations and data structure from the UML.
Step 3: The planner uses tools to create configuration data sets.
These data conform with the XSD. In case of doubt, the planner (or tool designer) refers to the documentation in the original UML.
Step 4: XML data are exchanged.
The data can be zipped, signed and validated by external tools.
Step 5: The signalling industry ingests the received XML data into its own tools.
The resulting configuration data are used to build the signalling system and the as-built data are returned in the EULYNX DP format.
